For many of my customers buying local has become second nature, but I always find it valuable to revisit the question and remind myself how broad and interconnected the answers to it are. We buy sustainably grown food to ensure our own health and safety, but it is important we remember that our purchasing choices aren’t only about our own health. How we farm affects the health of our soil, our waterways, and our insect populations. When we buy local, sustainably grown food and flowers we also impact the physical and financial well being of the individuals who grow our food and the communities where our food and flowers are grown. Thank you for making local and sustainably grown food and flowers a priority in your life!
